The new Director of Communities and Housing at Tai Calon Community Housing is Andrew Myatt.   He joins the organisation from Selwood Housing in Wiltshire where he was Head of Neighbourhoods.  A Member of the Chartered Institute of Housing, Andrew has worked in the social housing sector since leaving university 18 years ago.

"I am delighted to be joining Tai Calon at such an exciting time", he said.

"Tenants are very much involved in the day to day operations at Tai Calon. Its principles are very dear to me and my aim is for Tai Calon to be among the best housing association in Wales within three years," said Andrew Myatt.

Chief Executive, Jen Barfoot, said, “I am thrilled that Andrew is joining us.  We have only been in existence as an organisation for a short time and while we have achieved a lot, we still have plenty of work to do.”

Andrew Myatt is moving to Wales with his wife and two young children.  He has previously worked for local authorities and housing associations in the South West and South of England, including Sovereign Housing, Bristol, Gosport and Portsmouth councils.

Andrew said: “I want to build on the good work already underway at Tai Calon and my first priority will be to concentrate on the basics.  We will achieve an excellent service by hard work and making sure that everyone, our tenants, staff and partners understand what we want to do and how we will achieve it.”
