Paying your rent

At the moment the money for your rent may come directly to us. However, with Universal Credit it will be paid to you and it will be YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO MAKE SURE your rent is paid to us ON TIME, EVERY TIME.

A safe and easy way to do that is by Direct Debit. We can arrange for your rent to paid by Direct Debit on any day of the week to suit yourself. It is simple to set up and a safe way to pay. It also means your rent will be paid on time, every time, provided there is enough money in your account. Contact us on 0300 303 1717 for more details.

Where can I get extra help?

If you need advice and support, free help is available. Many organisations, including us, offer confidential advice on setting up a monthly budget, how to save money on your everyday living costs, as well as putting something away for a rainy day.

Citizens Advice offers independent, confidential and impartial advice to everyone on their rights and responsibilities. Smart Money Cymru is a credit union for people living and working in Blaenau Gwent, Caerphilly and Newport. It is a financial co-operative owned and controlled by its members. It offers a friendly, convenient and secure place to deposit your money and to access low cost loans.
