Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council (BGBC) and the four main housing associations that operate in the County Borough (Tai Calon Community Housing, Linc Cymru, Melin Homes and United Welsh) have set up one housing register so that people will be able to apply for social rented housing by making one application. This register is called the Blaenau Gwent Common Housing Register.
How do I apply to the Common Housing Register?
You can apply to the Common Housing Register via www.blaenaugwenthomes.org.uk The site will allow you to register for housing and view the properties that are available to either rent or part purchase in the Blaenau Gwent area.
A customer must always be interviewed, and you can request an interview in person or by telephone by contacting the Housing Access Team:

Housing Options provides advice and assistance to people who are homeless, about to become homeless or are experiencing housing difficulties.
Anyone can apply for social rented housing, but you must be in housing need as described in the Blaenau Gwent Common Housing Register, Common Housing Allocation Policy.
If you do not get added to the Common Housing Register, BGBC will give you advice about what other housing options might be available to you.
