ESG and Performance Report

We’re excited to share our latest Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) and Performance Report, which replaces our Annual Review. At Tai Calon, we’re committed to making a lasting positive impact—protecting the environment, supporting our communities, and delivering services with transparency and integrity.

In January 2024, we adopted the Sustainability Reporting Standard (SRS) for Housing, a framework tailored to the housing sector. This allows us to measure and report progress each year across 12 themes and 46 criteria, ensuring our work aligns with both local priorities and national goals—like Blaenau Gwent’s vision for a greener, healthier future.

What is ESG?

ESG is a smarter, more responsible way of running an organisation, focused on three areas:

• Environmental: Tackling climate change, conserving resources, and reducing our carbon footprint.
• Social: Supporting our tenants, communities, and employees to improve lives and create opportunities.
• Governance: Acting ethically, transparently, and with integrity in everything we do.
