Damp and mould can have a serious impact on people’s health, especially for children, older people and those living with long-term health conditions. At Tai Calon, we understand how important it is to respond quickly and provide the right support.

Our Healthy Homes approach focuses on early action, clear communication and working closely with customers. We take concerns seriously, listen carefully and work with customers to find lasting solutions.
During 2024–25:
  • 635 reports of damp and mould were received
  • 525 cases were resolved
  • 96 cases required further follow-up work or ongoing monitoring to help prevent issues returning
Every report is carefully assessed using a colour-coded risk system. This helps us prioritise higher-risk cases and respond as quickly as possible, while also planning follow-up works where longer-term action is needed.
We also use a digital tracking system to monitor every case from the first report through to completion, helping ensure no issue is overlooked.
Alongside repairs and inspections, we continue to work with health partners and tenant groups to provide advice and support on ventilation, heating and reducing moisture in the home.
For us, a healthy home is about more than just the building itself. It’s about keeping customers safe, informed and supported, and making sure we do the right thing when it matters most.
If you’re worried about damp or mould in your home, please report it to us as soon as possible — we’re here to help. Please feel free to send us a direct message, email us at talktous@taicalon.org, or call or WhatsApp us on 0300 303 1717.
