Home Apply to common housing register

Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council (BGCBC) operates and maintains The Common Housing Register (CHR).

The four housing associations/providers that are committed to supporting the CHR are:

  • Tai Calon Community Housing,
  • Linc Cymru,
  • Melin Homes,
  • United Welsh.

This ensures that all applicants applying for social housing within Blaenau Gwent County Borough are provided with a single route of access and assessed using a single policy.

After you have applied

Once your application is complete and verified you will be placed in a Band depending on your circumstances.

Band Priorities:

  • Emergency
  • Gold
  • Silver
  • Bronze ​​​​​​

​​​​BGCBC are not able to advise you of your position on the housing waiting list but can inform you of your band.
