In need of a little extra support? Our Lifft team can help you!

In April 2017, we launched a new service called Lifft. The service has a group of expert Support Workers who help people to live full and independent lives. The Team has helped many individuals with various housing and financial issues. The Lifft Team is yet another example of our commitment to supporting and empowering the communities we serve.

The Lifft Team consists of six support workers, three working full-time and three working part-time. The Team’s expanded client base now includes people over 16 from a wider range of housing situations, all of whom are welcome to access the service through referrals, including self-referrals.

The Lifft Team’s support focuses on several areas, including housing-related support, which involves helping clients pay bills, arranging direct debits, and assisting with budgeting and financial issues. The Team also helps clients identify and apply for appropriate benefit entitlements and understand the terms of their tenancy.

In addition to these services, the Lifft Team also help people access various funds and benefits such as Discretionary Assistance Fund Payments, Direct Housing Payments, Personal Independence Payments/Appeals, Hardship Fund Applications, Food Bank Vouchers, Housing Benefit applications, and Universal Credit claims.

“Our Lifft Team are here to provide practical support to individuals facing housing-related issues and financial difficulties,” said Anthony Rowson – Supported Housing Team Leader. “We understand that people can find themselves in difficult situations, and we aim to provide them with the support they need to overcome these challenges and move forward with their lives.”
