Our office will be closed on Monday, 4 May, for the bank holiday. If you have an urgent repair, please call us on 0303 031 7171 — our out-of-hours team will be available to help. We’ll be back open as usual on Tuesday, 5 May. Please bear with our Customer Services team that morning, as call volumes may be higher than usual following the bank holiday.

Citizens Advice Caerphilly Blaenau Gwent (CACBG) is here for you.

Their Help to Claim service offers free, confidential, and independent advice to guide you through every step of your Universal Credit application.

Whether you’re just starting out or need help checking your first payment, their friendly advisers are available Monday to Friday, 8am–6pm. You can contact them:

They can support you with:

  • Understanding if you’re eligible

  • Completing your application

  • Getting ready for your JobCentre appointment

  • Making sure your first payment is right

You can apply for Universal Credit online, by phone, or even from home in some situations.

To help speed things up, it’s useful to have the following details ready:

  • Your housing information

  • Any income or savings you have

  • Childcare arrangements

  • Any other benefits you’re receiving
