What’s happening at St George’s Court
What we’ve done so far
Work is already well underway at St George’s Court, with £3.8 million invested in important improvements, including fire safety upgrades and the removal of walkways. Planning permission has now been granted for the full programme of works, which will include:

New triple-glazed windows

Improved ventilation systems

External wall insulation

Upgrades to communal areas

Landscaping improvements
What’s happening now

New windows: Installation of new windows to ground floor flats is expected to start early in the new year.

Ventilation upgrades: Work to improve ventilation in ground floor flats will also begin early in the new year.

Outdoor and communal spaces: Plans are being developed to improve landscaping and shared areas.

Repairs: We’re continuing to respond to repairs as quickly as possible.

Funding: We’re working with the Welsh Government and partners to support the delivery of the full programme.
Latest update – December 2025
Work at St George’s Court is continuing to move forward, with £3.8 million already invested and planning consent in place for the full programme.

Alongside this, we’re continuing to support residents with day-to-day repairs, while working with the Welsh Government and partners to help deliver the full programme.
Repairs update (last three months)
Between August and October, residents reported 105 repairs. Here’s where things currently stand:

75 repairs completed

10 repairs in progress

9 repairs waiting to be rearranged

3 repairs cancelled (no longer needed or access not available)

7 repairs needing a follow-up visit

Resident Steering Group
The Resident Steering Group helps make sure residents’ voices are heard throughout the improvement works. The group includes up to 10 residents, including leaseholders, and meets every two months to work alongside Tai Calon and help guide decisions.
